Anjini Karthik
Exec co-lead
Anjini is a senior (and 2014-16 high school liaison) from Sunnyvale, CA. She's excited about the applications of CS to healthcare and serves on the board of Stanford Students in Biodesign. She's a dancer on the Stanford Bhangra team and in her free time, enjoys traveling, learning photography, sampling street food, and spending time at CoHo.

​Grace is a sophomore from Westborough, MA majoring in Computer Science. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano and flute, cooking and baking for her friends, and dogspotting.

Cindy is a senior from Taiwan studying computer science and data science. She is passionate about the applications of technology in healthcare as well as computer science education. In her spare time, she enjoys watching anime, Korean dramas, taking excessive photos of her food before eating them, traveling and exploring cafes with friends (b4 COVID).

Steph is a sophomore from the Bay Area majoring in bioengineering and EECS. She is fascinated by all things innovative, constructive, collaborative, and different, and is interested in computational biology, biotechnology, and computer science. You can most likely find her exploring new places, playing tennis, doing Chloe Ting workouts, or sipping oat milk.

She's passionate about utilizing technology for social good, specifically issues concerning inequality in the education system and workplace. If she’s not watching Avatar The Last Airbender, you can find her embroidering, baking, or napping!

She wants to find new ways to be a part of her community at Berkeley and is especially interested in bringing social justice and computer science together. If she’s not napping, she is probably trying new foods, at dance class, having a conversation with someone new or thinking about travelling.

She is passionate about making a social impact through technology and is fascinated by artificial intelligence and machine learning. She has 28 different Rubik’s cubes, loves to play piano and violin, and has travelled to over 15 countries!

Samiha is a junior from Los Angeles majoring in Computer Science and Molecular Cell Biology. She is passionate about diversity in tech and computer science education. She has previous experience in developing curriculum for Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program that increased student engagement and smaller classroom sizes. She’s interested in the intersection of healthcare and technology and computational tools on biological systems/applications. In her spare time, she loves cooking, working out, and watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Volunteer to be a mentor​

As a mentor, you will help girls gain confidence, exercise their minds, and discover their passion for Computer Science & Engineering. You'll also have many networking opportunities to mingle with your peers and meet representatives from our sponsorship companies.

We're looking for:
  • Motivated, passionate, inspirational young women
  • Current student pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. at Stanford University or UC Berkeley
  • Programming experience (Introductory CS class)
  • A love of teaching!
